This equipment is the second step in the two-step manufacturing process for carbon-fiber thermoset prepreg. The machine is mainly used to perform impregnation and consolidation between resin and fibers. This equipment can produce unidirectional prepreg, with main fiber types including carbon fiber, glass fiber, aramid, quartz fiber, and basalt fiber (3K, 6K, 12K, 24K); it can also produce fabric prepregs, including glass-fiber and carbon-fiber fabrics.
The prepregging machine includes creel, yarn-splitting device, yarn-guiding device, spreading unit, heated-roller unit, heating plate, bottom resin-film unwinder, top resin-film unwinder, top paper take-up unit, PE film laminating/rewinding unit, and traction/haul-off unit. This equipment can better control temperature variations, improve prepreg quality, and features a quick-release cooling plate for easy replacement or cleaning.
