This equipment is used for resin coating in the production of epoxy resin–based composites and is a key piece of equipment in the two-step manufacturing process for carbon fiber thermosetting prepreg. The thickness tolerance of the coated film directly affects the impregnation quality of subsequent specialty fibers and determines the deviation in the mass or volume percentage of each constituent in the composite; therefore, coating thickness accuracy is one of the key indicators in the prepreg quality evaluation system.

The machine consists of a release paper unwinding unit, a vacuum splicing table, a coating unit, an online basis-weight inspection system, a cooling unit, a PE film unwinding unit, a laminating drive unit, a finished-product rewinding unit, and an electrical control system.
